Just got this book in the mail Attached by Mir Levine and Rachel Heller.
Skimming through it and reading a little bit it talks about the 3 types of attachments
They come up and develop from the way we are raised
Anxious type- Are often preoccupied with their relationships and tend to worry about their partner’s ability to love them back. I imagine these being the ones always looking for attention and always checking up on ppl and their business haha.
Avoidant type- Equate intimacy with loss of independence and constantly try to minimize closeness. These one i Imagine the ones that think once they get into the relationship they have to become a little bish boy/girl or servant having to listen to everything their partner wants, and lose their independence. So they try to avoid that.
Secure type- Feel comfortable with intimacy and are usually warm and loving. I think im more of this type because I’m pretty cuddly and love to give big hugs haha
The book also goes on to help you find what type of the three you are and what your partner could be, and tells how to intract with another so your types work out well.
It even gives ways on how to break up with them lol They studies come from studying attachment in children to their parents, and they transferred it to adults to test out.
If you get it let me know what you think! Subscribe and comment what type you think you might be.
